We especially appreciated your abilityand willingness to custom taylor a tour for us based on our interests and needs. You and Show Me Tours are a world class operation. We will definitely book a tour with you again on our next visit to the Big Apple, and will tell all our friends about you. Again, thank you and KUDOS!!!" Don & Susie Longmont, CO

| | We came to New York City excited by the prospects of seeing the sights and enjoying a thrilling New York visit, but we were also a little fearful of the things that can spoil a visit. Daniel Ellis, with his attention to detail and his pure energetic joy for his city, made our trip more exciting, more fun. We soon forgot those fears and, because of Daniel's careful planning, we lost whatever reluctance we might have had. There were no annoying hitches and no disappointing surprises. With Daniel, even riding the subway was a fun adventure. Restaurants just seemed to open their doors to us. Broadway show tickets were handed to us as he escorted us right to the front door of the theatre. In fact, Daniel handled every detail so completely and so professionally that we could immerse ourselves in all that makes New York City a wonderful place to visit. Having Daniel Ellis as our tour guide was just like having a beloved family member in New York joyfully showing us the sights of the city while handling all the annoying details. As wonderful as New York City is, Daniel made it even more wonderful and more fun. The Boatwright Family Tulsa, OK.

Taylor County gets some interesting info about Wall St. and the first capitol of the U.S.
| | Hello, I would like to tell you a little about Daniel Ellis. First of all, he is "The Best". I am the Senior Trip Sponsor for our High School and my first experience with Daniel as our tour guide was in May 2001. I had a total of 23 students and chaperones on that trip. This was our first time ever in NYC. Daniel made the trip so exciting for us. He is an enthusiastic, vivacious and animated young man. He seemed as excited as though he was seeing the sites for the first time along with us. When he met us at the airport we introduced ourselves and within a few minutes he knew everyone's names. He remembered all of our names throughout the trip. He found out our individual likes and dislikes and catered to those. He is VERY knowledgeable about NYC. He knew the history, trivia and current events. He kept us up on the days news since we had no time for TV. He would teach everyone NYC life, not just the tourist stuff but how to hail a cab, learn the streets and Broadway. He really made safety an issue, which I appreciated a lot.

Taylor County High bullying around in the Financial District.
| | He helped us save money by shopping at quality places. The vendors knew him. He kept in touch even after the trip. I took a group of 26 back in 2002, 63 in 2003 and will be taking 44 back in May of 2004. Daniel has made my life so much easier because he takes care of everything from the airline tickets to the meals we eat. I recommend him to everyone if you are planning a trip to NYC. He will accommodate a small group as well as a large group. I feel like Daniel is part of my family. We were his first group that he had when he went out on his own. Thanks Daniel for making the trips sooooo much fun, Senior Classes from TCHS -Perry,Florida

The Gaweys enjoy time with Alice in Wonderland in Central Park!
| | Going to New York City was a daunting task with my wife and three children ages 17, 16, and 13. I was fortunate to make contact with Daniel Ellis of Show me Tours and the most memorable vacation of a llifetime began!! Daniel arranged everything from our hotel, airport transfers, show tickets, tours and restaurants. What made this trip different was that Daniel made us feel at home in his city. We were part of Daniel's new family and he made us feel like we were part of the local scene. From eating from local street vendors to cheesecake at midnight in Times Square, it all seemed just right. We loved his energy, knowledge and obvious love of this most wonderful city. The trip was so well organized that even I became infatuated with the sights and the expertise of Daniel. We are already planning our next adventure with Daniel next year to explore more his most fascinating city!! The Gawey Family- Tulsa, Oklahoma

| | Oklahoma will tell you that Oklahomans move at a much slower pace than the average New Yorker. However, I was lucky to have a tour guide like Daniel Ellis. He seemed to know everything about New York. Anyone can take the usual trip to the city, grab a bagel, catch a Yankee's game, and go home without really gaining anything. However, this was not the case in our trip. Most tourists in New York will never see the "Tenement Museum", or actually look in depth at the voyage that immigrants endured to come to New York. Daniel has an amazing mind for historical knowledge; I would bet that a native New Yorker does not possess the same historical knowledge of Daniel. Aside from exploring the cultural history of New York, Daniel really knows how to have fun in the city. Because of his acting background, Daniel picked several amazing Broadway and off broadway (Daniel will explain) shows, including The Lion King, 42nd Street, and my personal favorite, the Blue Man Show. In addition, Daniel seems to know where every great restaurants are for pizza, bagels, and especially ice cream. Overall, I would say that I walked away from my trip to New York with more than I expected. I can honestly say that in one week, I experienced a year's worth of New York. John Gawey

Marlo and Colleen take time out for bargain shopping in China Town!
| | I admit: I was a little apprehensive about having a tour guide for my familys trip to New York City. But from the moment Daniel enthusiastically greeted us in the middle of Times Square, I knew the trip would be spectacular. As a real New Yorker, Daniel could show us the best local eateries, landmarks, and even masseuses. From a famous frozen hot chocolate store to an Ellis Island museum, Daniel knew exactly what would make our trip unforgettable. With Daniel, I was not just in the audience seeing the city, I was behind the scenes! His love for the city was contagious- we cant wait for our next trip with our favorite tour guide! Marlo Gawey

About to go on the Subway: Nelson Co. finds out how easy it is to tavel on the subway. Diana Driver and her class take a brief stop within all the excitement of Times Square. | |
I have been taking high school students to New York for the past seven years and have done all of the reservations myself-all of the stress and worry about money and subways
ugh! This year we tried Show Me Tours and had the BEST time! Daniel met us at the train station and I did not have to worry once the entire trip. With 27 students and 5 chaperones we easily used the subways, saw two shows, a baseball game, and learned more about the city than I ever dreamed. I feel bad for the other groups that I have taken and grumpily passed through the streets filled with dread that I would lose someone! Daniel and his staff learned all of the kids names in minutes and put everyone at ease immediately. I usually take kids every other year, but now that we have found Show Me Tours, out high school just may go EVERY year!! Outstanding! Show Me Tours is the best! Daniel, we miss you already!!! Youve got to be crazy! That was the reaction I got when I told friends I was going to be one of the chaperones taking thirty-two twelve-year olds to New York City for five days. It did seem a little daunting
the crowded streets of the city, the subway, etc. However, we quickly found out that Daniel had everything completely taken care of from the second we stepped off the plane. Every detail, every minute was planned perfectly. Daniels knowledge of New York City was extensive .His detailed and informative explanations of each of the sites we visited were fascinating. Each day came with its own thrill-from viewing the city from the top of the Empire State Building to watching the Tony winning play, Wicked. Dans outgoing personality was perfect for working with our kids. They loved him! The trip was a tremendous success. All of us not only learned about a wonderful city but also made a new friend. Our first trip to NYC was amazing thanks to Daniel Ellis of Show Me Tours. He made us small town folk from Kansas feel completely at ease with him leading the tour. We didnt just look at sights we experienced them thanks to Daniels extensive background knowledge. Daniel helped us save money, by taking us to quality souvenir shops and not allowing one of us to pay $20 for cheap sunglasses. Daniel was so kind to take us to his apartment, where the guys were able to watch the last minutes of an intense KU basketball game. The ladies experienced a birds eye view of the city from Daniels rooftop, the highlight for many of us. We saw so much in one day; this is a trip we will definitely remember for a lifetime. Before the day was over, we had a friend, one whom was hard to say goodbye to. Yet we are sure we will be back and our new friend will show us amazing time once again. Seeing New York City with Daniel Ellis of "Show Me Tours" truly is "seeing the city the way it's meant to be seen." There is so much to see and do that it can seem overwhelming. Daniel had great ideas and suggestions on everything from restaurants to cool art galleries and trendy shops. He even told us where to get the best New York Souvenirs. But what impressed me most about Daniel was his knowledge of New York City's history. It's obvious that he loves New York and even more, he loves showing it off to visitors! In New York City you never know what will happen or who you will see, but with Daniel you are guaranteed to have an unforgettable experience! Daniel, thank you for for making my first trip to New York "exciting and new!" See you next time. Sherri Pierson Natchitoches, LA |

Daniel, Physically, we're back here in the beautiful Alberta foothills. Mentally, however, we are still savoring the wonderful six days we spent in New York, and particularly the two days spent touring the city under your expert guidance. We had such fun. We learned so much about New York and about all of the attractions it offers, and we ate some of the best meals we have ever had. Yes, we walked miles, and yes, it poured rain one day, but none of that mattered beside the experience of seeing the City with you. We shall return and when we do we will get you to show us more of this fabulous city! Mary and Peter Burns Alberta Canada

Christmas in NY: To make their Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular even more special, Daniel sets up a one on one for Melissa and Jared Ryker with Radio City's Rockette Christina Hedrick. | | My husband surprised me with a trip to New York City before our first child was born. I was also pleasantly surprised that he had hired a personal tour guide for us! Daniel was amazing, he knew exactly where to go and when. We never waited in any lines and had a fabulous time! Daniel has so much knowledge about New York City and its history that we came away feeling that we really knew this amazing city! To top off our trip, Daniel got us last minute orchestra seating at the Rockettes Christmas show and we actually got to meet one of the Rockettes at our hotel! Daniel really went above and beyond for us and we always recommend him to anyone we meet that might be taking a trip to New York City! Thanks for the memories Daniel!

A huge thank you for an amazing time in NYC. I am still amazed at how you managed to get all 65 of us in and out of the subways and to all the great places we saw while in New York. I don't know what was more impressive, your knowledge of the city, your obvious love of the city, or the fact that you knew all of names before we left!
I was very apprehensive bringing so many students to such a large city, but from the moment you met us in the lobby of the hotel I knew we were in good hands. The meals you arranged were fabulous as was all of the sight seeing activities. We had so much fun there is a group of adults here in Minnesota that are planning a couples trip to New York as soon as we can. All of us on the trip have a new admiration for this great city and a desire to come back and see it again soon. Thanks again Daniel. Your love of NY has infected all of us and two weeks later we are still talking about it. All the best for the future and hoping our paths cross soon.
